Loot Slime Mechanics and Drops Guide

Loot Slimes are unique creatures that replace defeated monsters with valuable loot. This guide will provide you with an in-depth understanding of their mechanics and the types of loot they drop.

Loot Slime Basics

  • After defeating a monster, there's a chance that a Loot Slime will spawn in its place. Loot Slimes come in various types, each with distinct purposes and item strengths. The type of Loot Slime that spawns depends on the strength of the defeated monster.
  • It's important to note that Loot Slimes have a limited time on the map and will gradually dissolve into nothingness over time.
  • Similar to a rarity system, stronger monsters increase the chances of a Loot Slime spawning, and hitting a Loot Slime may also cause it to split into lesser strength Loot Slimes. These creatures can have various effects, such as clone summons, poison, offering valuable loot, currency, or even causing lava to appear.
  • It's worth emphasizing that Loot Slimes cannot be targeted or attacked by automated systems. Engaging with them is a manual farming process, and area-of-effect spells won't damage them unless explicitly targeted.
  • For a seamless gaming experience, Loot Slimes are not displayed during battles and can't be targeted using quick target options.

Loot Slime Behavior Variations

  • Some Loot Slimes serve as helpful summons after being defeated, aiding players in various ways. These summoned creatures can be invaluable in challenging encounters.

  • On the other hand, be cautious, as some Loot Slimes might become aggressive upon defeat, exploding and dealing lethal damage to nearby characters. Be prepared to strategize and handle them with care to avoid unfortunate consequences
