Mining
Ores and ingots are used in many recipes in Blacksmithing, Alchemy, Woodworking and Jewelcrafting.
High versatility makes them a high-demand product and mining can be a good source of income.
How to start
1. You get clay pickaxe from lvl 275 
reward.
If you misplaced it, you can always buy another one from the Tool Merchant at -1 floor in DP building.
2. Check out where to find ores and prepare some energy for mining :)

Locations
Higher tiers of trees can be found in higher tier spawns. What this means, you can't find Soul Trees inside the hydras spawn whereas you also can't find Venom Trees inside the Venomous Widow spawn.
1. Elder and Venom trees are most common in low level areas 40+/70+ spawns like 
Giant Spiders,
Bog Raiders and 
Werewolves are your best bet to find them.
2. Shadow, Glowing, Blood-soaked and Spirit trees are most common at higher level spawns like
Nomads, 
Draptors, 
Venomous Widow or 
Gargantoises.
3. Soul Trees are only found on Forgotten Islands and in guildhouse woodcutting areas
